A group of women sue Procter & Gamble (P&G) for their Rely tampons, claiming it causes toxic shock syndrome, which is a kind of bacteriological syndrome. Evidence in the lawsuit points to a series of terror tactics and corporate gaslighting from the company, which attempted to hide and/or buy off research pointing to specific materials they used in making their tampons that increased the likelihood of toxic shock syndrome. The women win their case.
