To filter by a particular topic and see a smaller section of the data, make a selection on the dropdown “Filters” menu or click “Search” to do a keyword search. Hover over the abbreviated filter tags in the blue boxes to see the complete name of the filter, or click a filter to display all the data with this tag. Founded by Debra Harry of the Northern Paiute people, the Indigenous Peoples Council on Biocolonialism (IPCB) organizes: "to assist Indigenous peoples in the protection of their genetic resources, indigenous knowledge, cultural and human rights from the negative effects of biotechnology," as they write on their website.

The IPCB provides education and technical resources, including briefing papers and videos, to protect the: "biological resources, cultural integrity, knowledge and collective rights" of Indigenous communities.
