Members of the New Right, with Anita Bryant as their spokesperson, launch attacks on LGBTQ+ communities through “Save Our Children” campaigns.

Bryant states: "Homosexuals can't reproduce so they must recruit."

The campaigns are highly successful in getting most of the existing LGBTQ+ anti-discrimination laws quickly repealed around the country. Oklahoma also passes a law banning gay men and lesbians from teaching in public schools. In response, large protests emerge against Bryant.
