Elders will promote sexual health education and increased access to contraception during her term, building on her work in the Arkansas Department of Public Health to pass a comprehensive health mandate that enforces a K-12 curriculum to educate students about sexual health and addiction prevention.

She will be forced to resign the following year after controversy over her progressive views on sex education breaks out.
