The timeline can be navigated with the “Scroll Left” and “Scroll Right” buttons or by dragging the pointer to a date on the timeline waveform (located at the bottom of the screen on the desktop version and on the left of the screen on mobile). The procedure begins to be used to identify "birth defects." In 1976, researchers at the Columbia University School of Public Health identify amniocentesis as a potential "money-saving" strategy, as it can prevent the birth of people with Down syndrome.
