A strategy is created to recruit organ donors in developing countries.

POV

A Washington Post article profiles a Virginia doctor who releases a strategy and plan for increasing donor donations in developing countries. This will later lead to an exploitative underground market for organ trafficking, and coercing living donors to give their organs in exchange for money or migration–especially in the Global South.

This will be powerfully portrayed in the film Dirty Pretty Things in 2002.
